EquiSound biedt aan:  INTERNSHIP ORTHOPEDIE vanaf 1 augustus 2024

EquiSound is een Medisch Centrum voor Paarden in Vlaanderen dat onafhankelijk is. Ons team bestaat uit verschillende gespecialiseerde dierenartsen en para-veterinairen. 

We beschikken over alle moderne kliniekfaciliteiten voor onderzoek en behandeling van paarden met prestatieklachten  zoals echografie, radiologie met focus nek en rug, operatiezaal, een MRI scanner, een binnenpiste etc.

Onze infrastructuur wordt binnenkort uitgebreid met een scintigrafie en een overdekte stapmolen.

Om ons team te versterken, zijn wij op zoek naar een  paardendierenarts met een speciale interesse voor orthopedie en prestatieklachten. 

Wat zoeken wij:

Als enthousiaste dierenarts zal je gedurende een jaar opgeleid worden bij de diverse aspecten van paardengeneeskunde, waaronder consultaties, diagnostische procedures, behandelingen en chirurgische ingrepen. Je zal kennis maken met allerhande therapieën en leren omgaan met klanten in een multidisciplinair team.

Wat zijn jouw verantwoordelijkheden:

• Ondersteuning van klinische evaluaties van paarden met prestatieklachten en hun behandelingen
• Aanleren van diagnostische procedures waaronder  radiologie, echografie, endoscopie en MRI om de oorzaak van de klacht vast te stellen.
• Assisteren bij chirurgische ingrepen en uitvoeren van de postoperatieve zorg
• Aanleren van hoogwaardige veterinaire zorg met aandacht voor het welzijn van de patiënt

EquiSound offers an INTERNSHIP IN ORTHOPEDICS starting from August 1, 2024.

EquiSound is an Equine Medical Center in Flanders that is independent. Our team consists of various specialized veterinarians and para-veterinarians. We have all modern hospital facilities for the examination and treatment of horses with performance issues such as ultrasound, radiology focusing on neck and back, surgery room, an MRI scanner, an indoor arena, etc. Our infrastructure will soon be expanded with scintigraphy and a covered horse walker.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for an equine veterinarian with a special interest in orthopedics and performance issues.

What we are looking for:

As an enthusiastic veterinarian, you will be trained for a year in various aspects of equine medicine, including consultations, diagnostic procedures, treatments, and surgical interventions. You will become acquainted with various therapies and learn to deal with clients in a multidisciplinary team.

What are your responsibilities:

* Support in clinical evaluations of horses with performance issues and their treatments

* Learning diagnostic procedures including radiology, ultrasound, endoscopy, and MRI to determine the cause of the complaint.

* Assisting in surgical interventions and performing postoperative care

* Learning high-quality veterinary care with attention to patient welfare
